Anthony Todd

Anthony Todd (“Tony”) was appointed Chief Operating Officer of the KAZ Minerals Group, effective 1 January 2026. Prior to this role, Tony served as the General Director of Aktogay, a position he held from October 2021 until his appointment as Group Chief Operating Officer.

Tony has 40 years of experience in the mining and thermal power industries and is a versatile senior operations and maintenance manager. Tony has a strong focus on ensuring optimum operational performance and safety culture. Prior to joining the Group, Tony held leadership positions at Minara Resources, Fortescue Metals Group and Glencore and has experience in the copper, gold, nickel and iron ore sectors in Australia, Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Madagascar. Tony holds Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Asset and Maintenance Management.
